It's Pink Saturday again and it's also my future daughter-in-law's birthday! My daughter and I went to a bakery called Cupcake today and bought coconut cupcakes. We thought we'd send Charlie a virtual cupcake for her birthday. We'd much rather be celebrating her birthday with her today. Since we can't, we worked on a present for her together. My son told me that his future wife needed a crochet hook case.
With the help of my daughter (she picked out the fabric and gave me the measurements), I made her this pretty pink case.
My daughter covered crochet hooks with pink polymer clay and we sent a birthday package off to Kansas. My daughter liked the future sister-in-law's case so much that she needed one too. I enjoyed making them so much that I made another one and I've put it in my Etsy shop.
My Etsy shop was looking pretty empty so I made a cute pink pincushion too.
I'm working on more pincushions and crochet hook/knitting needle cases.
Just think, it all started because we couldn't ship a cupcake!
Happy Pink Saturday to all of my Pink Friends and Happy Birthday to my future daughter-in-law who just happens to love pink too!

What beautiful pinkies and what a thoughtful mother in law to be you are! Happy Pink Saturday

Happy PS
I love all of your creations. I was thinking the cases you made would also be good to store paint brushes, sewing accessories or to hold flatware. I imagined it rolled up in a pretty picnic basket you could do matching napkins.
Have a happy day

Hi Betty, Per you comment about photos I wanted to say most of the photos on my blog today, all but two, were taken with Fuji Velvia slide film which made much more beautiful photos than digital, in my estimation. But, I no longer shoot film as digital is so much more convenient these days. Two of the photos on my post are digital and were shot in RAW, which is the way I always do it, so I have control over the finished product. All have been post processed in Photoshop using various filters to enhance them. Just wanted you to know mine don't always come out of the camera looking beautiful either, although I still try very hard to get the correct exposure, shoot in good light, etc. ♥

Hi Betty, well I don't need a crochet case cause I don't crochet, but I think it would be a great cosmetic brush holder. What do you think? I love the colors.
Oh I can sure feel the love for Charlie. Aren't you glad for the internet on this one?
Happy PS
Love Claudie
I could eat that cupcake right about now. We do not have a cupcake store. Maybe I should consider opening one!!!
