If I had a fishing pole, this might be a great excuse for disappearing. Instead I'll just say that I've been busy with life. I made myself sit down and write my term paper and my teacher gave me an A. Not bad considering I haven't written a term paper in over 30 years. Must be the blog writing that has helped. Not that my blog isn't full of grammatical errors and syntax. Thank goodness for spell check. So, I just wanted to let you know that I'm still here. I have two more weeks of this class and then I want a vacation from medical terms and tests.
I want to get out my sewing machine and sew something fun. Use up some of that pretty fabric that sits on the shelf. After all this blog is supposed to be about sewing. I'm not complaining. I'm finding it fun to exercise the gray matter between my ears.
*The illustration is an old embroidery pattern my daughter found in an old Work Basket magazine. Feel free to save it and make something fun with it.

I wish we were all going fishing! Love this pattern...I saved it! Thanks! Hope you get some sewing time soon. I need a creative break, too!

Learning new things keeps us young so keep it up!
Does this mean your vision problems are under control? I haven't seen every post but hadn't seen anything about that lately.
Hope so!

Miss Betty, I looove this! You know what I just Netflixed and saw for the first time in years? I think I saw it on HBO a long time ago - "A River Runs Through It" It made me want to fish and feel the art of fly fishing...
BUt with my luck finding water around here. I think I best dig a hole, fill it with water, put those plastic little mermaids you can buy at Cost Plus for cocktails in the hole, and try fishing them out ;)
I know you mean "gone fishing" metaphorically, but still, the idea is fun.
Oh and WOO HOOOOO for an A. I can't even begin to imagine writing a term paper again :)
YOu are amazing! I think I will go sewing insted of fishing too ;)
xoxo, V

Cute, cute pattern...thank you for this sweet share.

Wait a minute ! Just wait a minute ! We have an 'A' term paper writer right here in our midst ! ! ! !
Congratulations Betty ! And after 30 years. You do deserve a break and I hope you get and take one.
And the embroidery pattern is so very sweet and innocent. And it looks very doable. Today I treated myself to an early birthday present, the book, The Kitchen Linen's Book by EllynAnne Geisel. I have her other book about aprons. The linen book reminds of your sweet embroidery pattern.
Hugs for now, Janice

The image is so cute - freckles and all! :-) but I do think this little guy is off for an adventure. And he's packed ready :-)
Blogging is a good exercise in writing. Congrats on an A! :-)
