One of my all time favorite blogs is Blissitydoodah. Aunty Bliss makes me giggle almost every time I visit. She's good and sweet and we love some of the same things. Auntie Bliss challenged me to make a doll quilt for her Doll Quilt Show on September 30th.
Well, despite the fact that my blog's name is "She's Sew Pretty", I am not the best quilt maker. However, I took on the challenge and pulled out nine 5" fabric squares that were then cut into 2 1/2" squares which made 36 total squares. I am telling you that all those squares were perfectly square which means that they should have all lined up and made perfectly straight seams. I made four nine patch squares and sewed those together. Do you see any straight lines? Neither did I. I hope Dolly doesn't mind.
Don't ask me what the fabric is called. I bought it in a pack at the quilt shop. I think the name had something to do with reproduction feedsack fabric. I just thought it was cute. Now, what do I do with a doll quilt?
