Yes, I'm still here. My June staycation was wonderful until about the 29th of the month when a nasty cold took over my body. Other than last nights firework's show, in my daughter's little neighborhood, I have not been out of the house much. I have done no sewing, very little cooking and have only been in the garden to change the sprinklers or move the hose.
What I have done is watch umpteen episodes of Drop Dead Diva. I've almost finished reading Cutting for Stone. (beautiful, beautiful sad story) I've watched some good movies, some cute movies and some really bad movies. I haven't watched this much tv in years.
I have also spent way too much time on Pinterest. My obsession with Pinterest has made me unhappy with my decorating, my sewing skills and my wardrobe. It was bound to happen. So until I can find my mojo, I am stepping away from my blog. Please don't worry about me. I have just realised that I have stacks of fabric, stacks of pretty paper and that's all they are...stacks. I need to find my way back to "me".
I hope you feel 100% very soon. Everyone seems to be battling some crazy bug! You need a little more TLC and I am sure you will back to normal very soon. Take care Anne

Well hurry on up and do so, because I have missed you! LOL. I was in a slump last week and felt awful. I didn't know what was happening to my body. But, eventually I started coming this way. Don't worry...we are all tired and need a bit of time off. Once you relax, and you've rested you'll be yourself again. Until then, we will be thinking of you and wishing you God Bless! Hugs

Betty, I have been there too many times. Love Pinterest. If only I could send you my chair of roses you could sit and feel the happiness. Enjoy your time away...it will all come back to you sooner than you think. Smiles...Renee

Well you and Louis sure look nice on that beach : )
Fell better soon my dear friend.
We all need to rejuvenate one way or another. I'm busting a gut getting ready for my blogging girls to get here. The cottage is looking really good.
My mom was here today laying in the lounge chair enjoying the river and the nice warm summer day. She's making progress, but will most likely be going to long term care in a couple of weeks : (
Take care sweet Betty and find that MOJO will you??
Love You
Love Me

I've got stacks and stacks myself.... I'm thinking that the hoarding show is going to be knocking on my door any day now. I tell ya, I spend most of my time trying to get things organized that I don't actually get to do anything "artsy-fartsy" lol

Betty,
First off, what a poignant (I had to look up how to spell poignant !)and beautiful picture of you and Louis and the bright beautiful ocean.
Secondly, I know you are healing and are better even as I write this.
And thirdly, I love the phrase, 'a rest is an investment in productivity.
Heal and rest and rejuvenate my dear Betty. As you have inspired all of us with your sharing, your crafting and creativity , you will find the inspiration that you need for body, mind and spirit, of that I am sure.
Great big hugs, Janice

Hello dear Betty, What can I say, we have been out of the picture for 6 weeks. Vacation and Grandkids Week. Sometimes stepping away gives us time to regroup and then do what we love to do. I hope you are feeling much better now and I just want to say enjoy some time off. Blogging is an energy burner and I so understand needing time for yourself. Tackle those stacks and you will feel so happy you did.
Love you, Jeanne

HI!!!
So sorry to read about getting down, at least it was the last days of your vacation or staycation and not the beginning. That is never fun though.
Summer colds can be tough....I hope you are all better now, I am going to be sewing again soon!!!I love it, my new found hobby!!
hugs,
jamie

Dear Betty, So many of us are looking for our summer creativity. I think it will come when the holiday magazines are in the stores. Until then, enjoy your summer, rest your cold, and come back to us soon! Elizabeth
